After receiving his B.A. (Honours.) from the University of Toronto in 1969, and an LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario in 1972, Duncan moved to Kenora to enjoy the beautiful scenery and outdoor life the city had to offer. When not practicing law, he can often be found hunting or fishing in the area or gardening at his cottage.

Duncan’s contributions to his community benefit many organizations through his participation in the Kenora and District Chamber of Commerce (member and Past President), Ducks Unlimited, Pequonga Lodge P.M., Kenora District School Board, the Lake of the Woods District Property Owners Association, and the Kenora Golf and Country Club.

Duncan is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
